Meet the Owner’s

A lifelong animal lover and an entrepreneur respectively, Boulder natives Sara and Scott Lockwood, each bring unique qualities and skills to owning and operating BARK! For over five years, Sara owned a high-end pet-sitting and dog-walking business in Los Angeles that catered to busy celebrities and professional athletes. She loved her job but missed the active outdoor lifestyle of Colorado. After relocating to Denver and marrying Scott, Sara is thrilled to be running BARK! “It’s so much more than a job to me,” she says. “I hang out with the dogs all day long; every day I come home filthy and I love it!”

Scott Lockwood played football in the NFL before launching his string of successful businesses, which includes a popular restaurant and several luxury resort, spa and residential developments. Scott sees his role in BARK! as that of elevating the amenities and creating a higher-end experience for dogs and their owners. When they’re not bonding with your dogs at BARK!, Scott and Sara are often hiking and playing with their bulldogs, Twiggy and Peanut. The Lockwoods are eager to meet you and your family!
